The collection started with a discarded early Mac Plus, which the design agency I was working for at the time said I could have, because it did not boot up any more.  It came with an external 20mb hard drive.
I took it home cleaned it up, checked all the connections, replaced the battery and plugged it in, pressed the power switch and stood back.

In a few minutes I had a fully functioning example of why Apple Computer gave the masses an opportunity to join the digital revolution. This small box with its tiny 9 inch mono screen was the future for a lot of people outside of the workplace.

Since then my passion for collecting mainly vintage items has grown (some would say too much!). I often look for a complete boxed item if possible or a rare, unusual item as well as marketing and promotional items which are now confined to the Tshirts given away on store opening days.  If you are lucky enough to visit the Apple Company Store at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino which is the only place you will find official Apple branded products.

I hope you enjoy a trip down memory lane for those who have been fortunate to have Apple products in their life since the early days and for those new Mac converts, well, see what you have missed!
